Dual SIM - How Do I Completely Remove It?

Removing a Dual SIM completely takes two separate steps: deleting the eSIM profile from your device, and changing your plan type in the Burner app. Doing only one of these will leave the other part active.

What to expect

  • Deleting the eSIM from your device settings removes it from your phone, but it doesn't change your Burner subscription.
  • Changing your plan type in the app moves you off the Dual SIM plan, but it doesn't remove the eSIM profile your device is still holding onto.
  • You need to do both for Dual SIM to be fully gone.
  • This is a one-way change. Once you're off Dual SIM, you can't switch back to it on the same number.
  • If you have other numbers attached to your Dual SIM plan, they'll convert to prepaid when you change your plan type. You'll want to re-attach or extend those separately if you want to keep them active.

Step 1: Delete the eSIM profile from your device

iOS

  1. Open the Settings app.
  2. Tap Cellular (this may show as Mobile Data on some devices).
  3. Under SIMs, tap the eSIM number you want to remove.
  4. Scroll to the bottom of the screen.
  5. Tap Delete eSIM.
  6. Confirm when prompted.

Android

  1. Open Settings.
  2. Tap Network & internet (or Connections, depending on your device).
  3. Tap SIMs, then select the eSIM you want to remove.
  4. Tap Remove SIM or Erase eSIM.
  5. Confirm when prompted.

Step 2: Change your plan type in the app

  1. Open the Burner app and tap More.
  2. Tap Account.
  3. Tap Manage Subscription.
  4. Choose Change Plan and select a Standard or Premium plan (without Dual SIM).
  5. Confirm the change.
