Dual Sim - Supported Devices

Is my device compatible with Dual SIM (eSIM)?

Dual SIM uses eSIM technology, which is built into most modern smartphones — but not all devices support it.

Here's how to check if yours does:

iPhone

Your device needs to be iPhone XR or newer (XR, XS, XS Max, 11, 12, 13, 14, or 15) running iOS 16 or later.

To confirm eSIM is available:

  1. Go to Settings > Cellular
  2. Tap Add eSIM

If you don't see that option, check for a carrier settings update under Settings > General > About.

A few other things to check

  • Is your phone unlocked? Carrier-locked phones won't accept a new eSIM profile.
  • Was it purchased in mainland China? Some regional variants don't include eSIM hardware, even if the model otherwise supports it.
  • Did you just update your OS? Try restarting your phone before attempting to add an eSIM.
