I Can't Log in to my Account

Common Sign-In Issues & Fixes

1. “I don’t see my Burner number” / App is asking me to buy a new number

What it means:

You’re likely logged into a different account than the one your Burner number is tied to.

What to do:

  • Log out of the app
  • Try signing in with a different method (cell number, Apple, or Google)
  • Avoid creating a new account during this process

2. Signed up on the website, but logging in with email

What it means:

If you signed up through the web, your account is tied to your cell phone number, not an email login.

What to do:

  • Log in using your cell phone number
  • Do not attempt to sign in using email, as this may create a new account

3. Not receiving a verification code

What it means:

Your device may be blocking the code, or there may be a temporary delivery issue.

What to do:

  • Check your blocked messages/contacts for: +1 (833) 772-0138
  • Make sure your device can receive SMS messages
  • Try again after a few minutes

4. Error when signing in with Google or Apple

What it means:

There may be a permissions issue or you may be using the wrong account.

What to do:

  • Make sure you’re signed into the correct Google or Apple account
  • Check that permissions are enabled on your device
  • Try signing in again after closing and reopening the app

5. Account appears empty after signing in

What it means:

You’ve likely created or logged into a new account instead of your existing one.

What to do:

  • Log out
  • Try all possible login methods you may have used previously
  • Do not purchase a new number until you locate your original account

6. Account was deleted

What it means:

If an account was deleted, it cannot be recovered.

Important:

  • Deleting your account does not cancel subscriptions
  • Subscriptions must be cancelled separately through Apple or Google
