Step 1: Check for Another Account
In many cases, the charges are linked to a different account. Before taking further action, please check:
- Whether you have multiple email addresses
- If a family member or someone else may have used your payment method
- Any alternate Burner accounts you may have created
Step 2: Identify Where the Charge Came From
Burner subscriptions can be billed through different platforms:
- Apple (App Store)
- Google Play Store
- Web (direct payment via Burner)
- Check your email for a receipt
- Review your bank statement for billing details
Step 3: If the Charge Is Unauthorized
If you’ve confirmed the charge is not associated with any of your accounts:
- Contact your bank or card provider immediately
- Report the charge as unauthorized
- Request a review or dispute
Your bank is best equipped to investigate and take steps to secure your account.
