Call Error - Unable to Place Call - VoIPAction

Seeing an error saying "Unable to place call - Burner.VoIPActionError" or something similar? Here's how to fix it:


It's likely that you recently changed your main cell phone number with our support team and also had in-app calling (VoIP) turned on. Can you try turning it off and see if that helps?


iOS Users:

  1. Tap on More at the bottom of your inbox.
  2. Tap Number Settings.
  3. Choose the Burner number you want to change the settings for.
  4. Scroll down and choose VoIP In-app Calling.
  5. Switch to Standard then Voice or VoIP, or leave it on Standard.

Android Users:

  1. Tap on More at the bottom of your inbox.
  2. Open Number Settings.
  3. Choose the Burner number you want to change the settings for.
  4. Scroll down and choose VoIP In-app Calling.
  5. Switch to Standard then Voice or VoIP, or leave it on Standard.
