Making an outbound call is routing back to my burner number
When I dial an outbound number, the system calls back my burner and doesn't process the call to the recipient. Why is that?
That is normal behavior. The way our app works, the Burner number that you set up acts as an intermediary between your number and the number you're calling, as a way to hide your true number. So when you make an outgoing call, it dials the Burner, then gets automatically connected to the final destination. Similarly, when you receive a call on one of your Burner numbers, it seems as if you're receiving a call from your Burner.
If this is not what you're experiencing and the call isn't going through at all, please try out the following:
- Please delete and reinstall the app to force the system to refresh. All of your information is stored on the cloud so I won't be affected by this process.
- Try turning on In-App Calling (VoIP).
- If this still doesn't help, please reach out to us at support@burnerapp.com.
