Can I use Burner to sign up for websites?

Third-party Verification

Some websites and apps — like Amazon, Google, or Instagram — send a verification code to confirm your number when you sign up. Burner numbers can be used for this.

Most verification systems accept Burner numbers without issue. Keep in mind that third-party services can change their policies at any time, so a number that works today may not work in the future.

If your Burner number doesn't work for a verification you need, message us in-app using the Help button, or use the chat icon on this page. There's no guarantee, but we can try replacing the number to see if that resolves it.

We also offer a separate Verified Number subscription, which is compatible with more third-party services. This is not an upgrade — it's an independent subscription, separate from a Standard Subscription.
