Single Sign On (SSO) - Signing in with Apple or Google

Single Sign On (SSO)

Our SSO feature is a way for our customers to be able to use the Burner app without a main cell phone number. Users have the ability to sign in with their Apple ID or Google account. Some things to keep in mind:

  • If you already have an account with an active subscription, you'll need to continue to login with your main cell phone number.
  • You will not be able to sign in with Apple and then change over to Google if you already have an active subscription. You'll see an "Error Subscription Sharing" message. This is to prevent users from accidentally creating multiple subscriptions.
  • If you do not have a subscription on your already existing account but you have an active Burner number, and you log in using another method not used at sign up, this will create an entirely new account. If you'd like to access your same Burner number, be sure you continue to login to the same method used at sign up.

If you'd like to make any changes to the way you login. Please reach out to use at support@burnerapp.com and we'll guide you through the best steps.

How To Login Using Apple

To login using your Apple ID, simply open up the Burner app and tap on "Sign in with Apple".

On the next screen, you'll receive a pop-up to sign in with your Apple ID! You can select from using your personal email address or use the Apple Feature to hide your email address.

That's all! You're now signed up and logged into your Burner account. You should be taken to a "Choose your new number screen". Just follow the prompts to finish setting up your account.

How To Login Using Google

To login using your Google account, simply open up the Burner app and tap on "Sign in with Google".

On the next screen, you'll receive a pop-up to sign in with your Google account! Just tap on the "Continue" button to proceed.

Lastly, just enter your email address and password for your Google account. That's all! You're now signed up and logged into your Burner account. You should be taken to a "Choose your new number screen". Just follow the prompts to finish setting up your account.
