The number is counting as a landline and not a mobile number so I can't use it for most things. Is there a way around this?

Hey there,

Thanks for reaching out!

Burners are all real numbers that happen to be VoIP. Real numbers come in a variety of types, VoIP, landline, mobile... we just currently only offer VoIP. We're not a spoofing app so we do not generate random numbers that happen to be already in use, a Burner is a real number that is owned and cannot be altered (area code or other number changes)b once it's created.

The numbers are set up to be used with verifications and short codes, however it's up to all other 3rd parties whether or not they will interact with a VoIP number.

Unfortunately, we have no way to check into 3rd party systems as to why they are failing. A lot of 3rd parties block VoIP numbers from being used either because they're trying to mitigate fraud, or because they have other strategic partnerships.

If you receive errors on the Burner end, let us know and we'll be happy to dig in to them.
