Starting calls


I understand this issue has been raised already but I'd like to point out that it would be nice to have an option to disable the "press 1 to start call" option. The reasoning is I use this service to scout out services but when said services call to verify with a PIN the PIN always cut off. I cannot press 1 and have the recording say "this call will start" before the inbound call is halfway over. This is happening so often that I have switched over from my paid service to using Google voice. I won't be renewing after this payment cycle as honestly, this is a deal-breaker. Any plains to correct?

When you accept a call, you'll have to press '1' every time. You should hear a recording that says press 1 to answer or 2 to decline, but even if you don't hear it you should still press 1. Sorry for the inconvenience! We put this feature in place to keep the burner line separate from your normal phone line.

If you're on Android, we've rolled out our VoIP dialer though, so you should be able to turn on in-app calling which will get rid of the necessity to press 1. This makes it so that calls run off of your data/wifi connection, in the app, and won't go to your phone anymore. You can definitely toggle between the 2 though, if you need to. It's a setting that is done per Burner, so one can run off VoIP and another can still forward to your regular line, or they can all be VoIP or all forward, it's up to you. If you're on iOS, VoIP is not out to all users, it's still being tested because of some issues with our carrier, but we're working on it.
