When you are creating an email account with an email service such as Gmail or Outlook, and there is a field during the creation process for phone verification, which is where they send a text to the contact number of your designation for verification, why am I unable to use one of my Burner lines for the verification? It simply says something to the effect of 'We cannot send a verification code text to this number.' Even if it's an in-region number such as 253 ### #### (A Kent WA area code). That's my question. Is this an issue with Burner or the Outlook/Gmail service providers?
Burners are all set up to accept interactions with shortcodes as well as verification systems, so as long as the other party doesn't have any issues with our numbers, you should be good to go.
Unfortunately, we have no way to check into 3rd party systems as to why they are failing. A lot of 3rd parties block VoIP numbers from being used either because they're trying to mitigate fraud, or because they have other strategic partnerships. If you receive errors on the Burner end, let us know and we'll be happy to dig in to them. Thanks!
